Blacksoul is a Deep House DJ/Producer from Croatia. He has been doing his thing for two decades, since first storming the airwaves of a local station back in 1994. Having produced over 100 records on a wide array of assured underground house labels (think Strictly Rhythm, Cr2, Milk & Sugar, Virgin/Positiva), Blacksoul was the first Croatian to play the Amsterdam Dance Event and Miami’s Winter Music Conference, whilst also playing across the USA and Europe at all the finest night-boxes, alongside names like Derrick Carter, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Gramophonedzie, Doc Martin, etc. He has also remixed Grammy Award Winner Maurice Joshua and turned his hands to Gramophonedzie’s super hit “Why Don’t You” which is due for release this year. Blacksoul also runs his own record label Blacksoul Music.

He was then noticed by Groove Bugs, who booked him for his first real gig at Jungle Club in Split. Codyn is now a member of the Headmovin crew which represents the Chicago Jack. Their production has been supported by top artists including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sharam, Umek, etc. In 2008, JackRock received the award “Best South-Eastern European Producer”. In 2010 and 2011, Balthazar has been officially chosen for “Best Bulgarian Techno/Minimal DJ of the Year”.
